The CAC is structured organizationally to meet
adequately all the in-house training needs of the Air Traffic Services
Division (ATS) of the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA). The college has
additional arrangements for courses to be conducted at the ATCC in Kota
Kinabalu as well as the Sub ATCC at Kuching on an ad hoc basis when the
need arises, especially if all candidates are from that station.
Instructors are deployed from the field,
brining with them valuable operational experience that is of great
importance, especially for practical simulator training. Often, the
instructors are further trained in teaching and training techniques, both
in house as well as at other government training centers and occasionally
overseas to enable them to impart their vast knowledge and experiences to
their trainees effectively.
